Breeding Program
Rio Rojo Ranchos Breeding Program, originated with a childhood fascination with whitetail-deer. That fascination has matured into a driven passion to learn everything possible about this truly amazing animal.
We originally purchased several bred does from around the state, bred to some of the top Bucks in the industry. We later purchased a 4 1/2 year old brood buck from RW Trophy Ranch, BBP Tines. He has Bones, Bambi, BB Peanut in his pedigree. BBP tines has blossomed into one of the best Typical Bucks breeding in the state of Texas, grossing 215 B&C as a 5 year old.
We are truly excited about the future, both near and far, that these great combinations will produce in the near future. With foundation does bred to Moolah, Cardiac Arrest, Cactus Jr., Prickly Pear, to name a few. We believe Rio Rojo Rancho is headed in the right direction to produce "As good as it gets Genetics," that will enhance any ranch, anywhere.
With these powerful combinations bred to Tines, and with Tines; daughters on the ground, you can see why, we believe the Breeding Program at Rio Rojo Rancho has only "The Sky as a Limit!" Also, in the future, we will be adding top genetics from around the country and state, through artificial insemination
With completion of our new "Working Facility", in fall of 2006, the health and daily care of our deer herd is our #1 priority.
