Rio Rojo Rancho, Inc. was established in 2004. Parts of this family owned, family run whitetail deer ranch has been in the Ford family since 1909. We are located in very NE Texas, in Red River County. The ranch is a multi use deer ranch and hunting operation we offer day, season, and package hunts for management as well as a few Trophies each year for native deer in spring fed, sandy rolling hills of solid timber, consisting of White, Pin, Red, and Post Oak that make a towering forest of beautiful hardwoods and scattered pine. This area is the very northern boundary of The Post Pak Savannah region of Texas, very near The Red River. Our deer are not "South Texas" just yet, but neither are our prices! The ranch is a Bow Hunters Dream and is under TPWD/MLDP Level 2 management. Expect to see as many as 10-15 Bucks a day, ranging from 120 - 180 class B&C. I'm confident we can find "Your Buck".
Along with our hunting operation, we have a Breeder license with Texas Parks and Wildlife, TX2272 to breed whitetail-deer (Odcoileus Virginianus). We have selected animals from around the state, to build our foundation herd, from some of the Top Breeders in Texas. We have a "deer working facility" that is second to none. So come see us, our deer, and our facility. We are confident we can be of service to your ranch or breeding operation. When spring rolls around on the Red River, we hit the woods cluckin' n purrin' for Eastern Turkey. Red River County was the first in Texas to re-introduce the Eastern Turkey to its native terrain.
We also offer camping, fishing, trail rides, hay rides, walking trails and just plain ol' relaxation. Open campfire cooking. We have hosted weddings, as well as corporate outings. We will cater a weekend or week, to fit your dreams. With our hunters' bunkhouse and lodging facilities, we can sleep up to 8-10 people. Big or small, we can handle it all! It does not have to be hunting season to enjoy the Rio Rojo Rancho.
